Publication of Jewish religious textbooks in Spanish was among a number of problems considered here today by delegates to the first Latin American conference of Conservative synagogues.
The delegates, who included rabbis and lay leaders from a number of South and Central American countries and guests from the United States and Israel, also discussed the holding of special services for Jewish youth and the problem of providing for visits by rabbis to smaller communities which are without religious guidance.
The conference also considered questions involved in the introduction of modern methods of teaching Hebrew.
