The Jewish soldiers in the Latvian army will be provided with kosher food according to an arrangement made today between War Minister Balodis and the Agudath Israel, the Orthodox Jewish organization.
Special field kitchens purchased by the Agudath Israel will be set ###p by the army for the Jewish ###ldiers. The Latvian government ###ill pay part of the cost for these ###ens, according to the arrangements. The Jewish communities will supervise the distribution of food among the soldiers.
With all the Jewish political organizations dissolved in Latvia, the Agudath Israel is today the only Jewish organization enjoying government confidence. The Agudath Israel is fully supporting the present regime in Latvia and i# permitted to publish the only Jewish daily newspaper in the country.
