Latvian Nazis Seek to Injure Jews by Strict Gov’t Measures

The student council of the Latvian Music Academy today adopted a resolution demanding the introduction of numerus clausus in the Academy violating Jewish civil rights.

Nazi agitation in the Latvian Republic has assumed serious proportions in recent months. Only a few weeks ago, Latvian Nazis introduced a referendum that would have deprived the Jews of all their citizenship rights and would have denied them trade-licenses, and hence the right to earn a livelihood. The referendum failed.
