Mrs. Sigmund Stern, Jewish and civic leader, is receiving the thanks of the community in her gift to the city of a large, beautifully wooded grove which has been named in memory of her husband, Sigmund Stern Memorial Grove.
The grove, near the ocean beach, has been made the setting for Sunday afternoon symphony concerts and the value of the recent gift has won a community’s appreciation for its donor.
