Lausanne Treaty Helps Mandates

Now that the treaty of Lausanne with Turkey has been signed by Great Britain, France. Italy, Japan and other allies, the rights of Italians in countries previously belonging to the Ottoman Empire and which are now under British or French mandates will be determined in discussions to begin shortly between the governments of France and Italy, says the Italian telegraphic agency, Volta.

The British mandate for Palestine and the French mandate for Syria will enter into force immediately an agreement is reached between France and Italy.
