Shrinkage of American exports to Germany is in no way traceable to the anti-Nazi boycott, G. E. Harriman, executive secretary of the Non-sectarian Anti-Nazi League to Champion Human Rights, declared yesterday in reply to a statement issued by Dr, Albert Degener, secretary of the Board of Trade for German-American Commerce, but is the direct result of “the hampering effects of (Dr. Hjalmar) Schacht’s import restrictions.”
Mr. Harriman’s analysis was in answer to Dr. Degener’s charge that while figures published by the Anti-Nazi League, showing that the Reich has suffered appreciably from the boycott, are perhaps correct, they fail to show the
