The national commander of the Jewish War Veterans of the United States. Samuel Samuels, has completed a week-long tour of the battlefields, during which he visited with Jewish and non-Jewish American servicemen on the occasions of Chanukah and Christmas. Mr. Samuels said he was impressed by the high morale of the soldiers and Marines, and thought that the war was “going well.” He said that he was also pleased with the progress of the pacification program in Vietnamese villages.
