Three Jewish youths of the Herzliah training center in Naples were released today after being held by the British military police for two weeks. No reason for their arrest was given.
Among the arrested was the secretary of the training center, M. Galewski, in whose name the UNRRA has deposited the centers monthly monetary allowance. Following his arrest the British military authorities blocked a balance of 300,000 liras held in his name in a Naples bank. All efforts on the part of the UNRRA to have the funds released were ineffective. However, it is considered certain that the account will be “defrosted” now that Galewski and the other two members of the Herzliah center are freed.
