Leaders of the developing Jewish Community Center movements in Israel, Europe and Latin America will join with leaders of North American centers affiliated with the Jewish Welfare Board in the First World Conference of Jewish Community Centers, to be held in Israel May 3-8. Morton L. Mandel of Cleveland, president of the World Federation of Jewish Community Centers, announced this “historic first.” The JWB is the North American affiliate of the World Federation which will sponsor the conference.
