Tribute to Arthur Meyerowitz for his services to Reform Judaims in the United States was paid today at a luncheon tendered him by leaders of the Federation of Reform Synagogues at the Lawyer’s Club here on the occasion of his retirement after 19 years of service as a member of the staff of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations and director of finance of its affiliate, the New York Federation of Reform Synagogues.
Almost one hundred associates and friends of Mr. Meyerowitz attended the luncheon at which Colonel Frederick F. Greenman, president of the New York Federation of Reform Synagogues, was toastmaster. Other speakers included James W. Gerard, former United States Ambassador to Germany, Roger W. Straus and Dr. Samuel M. Goldenson, rabbi of Temple Emanu-El.
