An organized movement throughout Greater New York to enlist 75,000 Jews in active support of a greater development of Palestine will be initiated tonight at a conference of Jewish leaders of New York at the Hotel Pennsylvania.
Called by the New York branch of the Zionist Organization of America, the meeting will outline the need for a more intense economic reconstruction of the Holy Land in order to make possible the absorption of larger numbers of Jews seeking a haven from persecution.
Zionist leaders who will participate in the deliberations of the assembly include Morris Rothenberg, president of the Zionist Organization; Louis Lipsky, American member of the World Zionist Executive; Morris Margulies, secretary of the Zionist Organization; and Abraham Goldberg, a member of its governing council.
Carl Sherman, president of the New York Zionist Region, will act as chairman.
