Libre Belgique, the most important Catholic newspaper in Brussels, today published a three-column, front-page article reporting on the plight of Jews in the USSR and Soviet anti-Semitic policies. The article also sharply denounced discrimination against Jews as an ethnic group and pointed to the signs of a “neo Judaism” of the young generation which, the paper said, shows the existence of a “new Jewish conscience” stronger than persecutions and vexations.
