League Appeals for Refugees

Closing the nineteenth session of the League Assembly, President Eamon de Valera today appealed to all the nations of the world to end the plight of refugees persecuted for racial and religious reasons. Terming the refugee problem as dangerous as the minorities problem, the Irish representative urged all governments to exert the utmost effort in trying to save “suffering people from misery.”
