The Third National Membership Assembly of the American Jewish League for Israel will be held at the end of April, it was announced here today by Ezra Shapiro, president, following an executive meeting of the organization.
Mr. Shapiro stated that the Assembly would be “devoted to the further growth and strengthening of the League’s units throughout the country, to preparation for the Leagues participation in the forthcoming World Zionist Congress and to the re-evaluation of the League’s program and responsibilities for the coming year. ” He stressed that “the American Jewish League for Israel was created to make it possible for all American Jews to unite in one strong, independent, non-party Zionist organization, dedicated to the execution of Zionist tasks. “
