A new idea in regard to the calling of a Jewish World Congress was submitted to-day for discussion by Dr. Chaim Jitlowsky, well known American Jewish writer who is now a guest here, in a lecture which caused great interest in many Jewish circles. In his lecture, Dr. Jitlowsky mainly proposed that a Jewish petition, signed by millions of Jews should be drafted and submitted to the League of Nations, putting forward the demand that the League of Nations call a Jewish World Congress for the purpose of electing Jewish representatives to the League of Nations. The League of Nations should also take upon itself the task of solving the Jewish question according to Dr. Jitlowsky’s plan.
