A conference of the Leagues for Working Palestine was opened here yesterday in the presence of representatives of Jewish workers’ organizations in European countries, Palestine and the United States.
J. Sprinzak, Palestine labor leader, opened the proceedings. According to a report submitted, 60,000 Jewish workers are affiliated with the Leagues. A Praesihum consisting of Messrs. Kaplansky, Napthali and Kaplan was ###cted. Mr. Latzki-Bertoldi read a declaration in behalf of the Volkists, in which he declared that the Volkspartei was never opposed to Zionism but toward the negative attitude of Zionism to Jewish life in the Diaspora. The party will be glad to cooperate in a spiritual and material sense for the upbuilding of Palestine.
