Julius Levenson, who died here a few days ago left 10 percent, of his entire estate for charity according to the will which was filed for probate. No specific organization was named but the trustees were directed to apportion the amounts for charity to those organizations in which the deceased had shown himself interested.
Another provision of the will directed the trustees to continue the payment to “my poor relations” in Europe. The amount left by the testator was not made known.
A sum of $10,000 was left to Mrs. Ida Levenson, the widow, and $5,000 was set apart for the benefit of his adopted son, the income which will be paid to him.
Judge J. J. Kaplan was named trustee. Mr. Levenson was a Zionist and a large contributor to many charitable organizations.
