Despite the fact that peace has not been concluded between Israel and Lebanon, Lebanese Maronite Bishop Joseph Khouri has come to Israel to confer with the authorities on his request that Maronite refugees be permitted to return to Biram village, in Israel near the Lebanese border. The Maronite Church is a wing of the Catholic Church.

Israel President Ben Zvi today paid a visit to the shrine of Bahai, an international religious movement, on Mt. Carmel here. He spoke with Shoghi Effendi Rabbani, world head of the Bahai movement, who expressed satisfaction over the good relations which have always existed between the Jewish State and the Bahai movement.
