Leeds Synagogues Proclaim Sanctions Against Members Violating War Regulations

For the first time in the hundred-year history of the Leeds Jewish community sanctions have been adopted against members guilty of disgracing Jewish honor.

The Council of the Leeds United Hebrew Congregations unanimously decided not to extend the rites of the synagogue to any person convicted of violating any of the war regulations. Steps have already been taken to exclude offenders from all synagogue honors.
