Left-wing Italians formed a national organization to support Israel. Piero Fassino, secretary of the Democratic Party of the Left, announced the establishment of a nationwide Left Wing for Israel association at a conference late last week. A local Left Wing for Israel group had been founded in Milan several years ago.
