Although official results of the Parliamentary elections in Lithuania have not been made public, information received from unofficial sources indicates candidates of the minority nationalities and left parties polled heavily and won many seats.
Five seats have been won by candidates of the minority parties in Kowno, according to information to hand, while the right parties secured but five places against four of the lefts. Reports from places outside the Lithuannian capital show two minority deputies for Ponewesh, one for Mariampol, two for Rossiany, two for Utvany and possibly one for Telzsch.
The precise distribution of the seats won by minority parties amongst the different nationalities has not been determined, it is reported.
