Leib Landau, prominent Jewish counsel, who acted as defense counsel in the famous Steiger trial, will head the counsel for the Jews arrested in connection with the death of Jan Grotkowski.

Four Jews were arrested following the death of Grotkowski who succumbed to knife wounds after he and five companions, returning drunk after an all night revel, early last Sunday morning, attacked Jewish passersby.
