The anti-Jewish excesses, which accompanied the results of the parliamentary elections whereby two of the four deputies elected from Lemberg are Jewish, lasted for three days.

A delegation of Jewish students was received yesterday by the dean of the University of Lemberg in connection with the events. The dean told the delegation that he considers the three day excesses as “unworthy of Polish students” and promised his assistance to check further outbreaks.

The “Glos Prawdy”, the organ of the Pilsudski government, writes today that in case the riots will recur the government will declare martial law in Lemberg. Several Polish newspapers published an appeal of various liberal groups of Polish students, protesting against the excesses and urging that they cease.

Final returns on the elections in Eastern Galicia show that another Jewish deputy was elected there.
