Because of the hardship suffered by unemployed Jewish workers in the city, measures are being taken by the City Council to alleviate their condition.

A special Jewish brigade has been organized to remove the snow from the streets of Lemberg. This group will work on Sunday instead of Saturday. It was said to be the first time that the city had undertaken to employ unskilled Jewish workers in public works.
