An event medieval in character called forth great excitement in the Jewish quarter of Lemberg.

A month ago, a Jewish girl named Komis disappeared from home. Her parents found out that she was being kept in a convent. The demand of the parents for their daughter to be returned was refused.

The parents, accompanied by a throng of friends and sympathizers besieged the convent, demanding that the girl be released. The police dispersed the crowd.

An investigation was ordered by the District Attorney.
