Leon Feinberg, New York Poet, Wins Literary a Ward in Argentina

Leon Feinberg of New York and Elchanon Wogler of Paris has been awarded the seventh annual literary prize of the Pinchas Hoffer and Abraham Leib Foundation, it was announced here today. The awards, each worth $250, are given for the best Yiddish works the year.

Mr. Feinberg, an American Jewish poet and member of the editorial staff of the Day-Jewish Morning Journal, received that award for his book “Der Farmishpater Dor” – “The Condemned Generation.” Mr. Wogler, a novelist and poet, received the award for “Frilling Oifn Trakt” – “Spring on the Open Road.”
