Leon Israel, cartoonist for the Jewish Daily Forward and well known in Jewish art, theatrical and newspaper circles as an artist, died here today at the age of 67. Born in Pinsk, Russia, he came to this country in 1905. A book of reproductions of his paintings and sketches was published last year. His cartoons appeared under the name of “Lola.”
