Leonard Laser has been named president of the Combined Jewish Appeal of Metropolitan Chicago for a two-year term of office. The announcement was made today by Joseph L, Gidwitz, president of the Jewish Federation, and Morris Glasser, president of the Jewish Welfare Fund. The goal of the Appeal is $6,650,000.
Mr. Laser served as General Campaign Chairman of the Combined Jewish Appeal in 1962-1963 and was instrumental in the accomplishment of its campaign goals. His record of achievement in philanthropic activities includes service as a director of the National Jewish Welfare Board, Jewish Community Centers of Chicago, Jewish Vocational Service, Cancer Research Foundation, and the U. S. O. He has also been a board member of the Council of Social Agencies.
