A letter-bomb addressed to the German reparations delegation here was delivered to the German Embassy last night. Suspicious employees of the legation turned the packet over to the police who found it contained a highly explosive substance.
The envelope bore the name of the “Jewish Partisans Association” and was postmarked Amsterdam. The German and Jewish delegations were immediately notified to be on the alert. Responsibility for a bomb sent to Chancellor Konrad Adensuer last week was admitted by a group using this name but Jewish circles were unaware of any such organization and ascribed the letter to provocateurs.
