Letter by Dreyfus N Praise of Zola, Defender, Revealed

A letter from the late Colonel Alfred Dreyfus, noted martyr, to Edward G. Platt lauding the idea fo placing in the Local Y.M.H.A. a bust of Emile Zola, author and defender of Dreyfus during his celebrated trial, was made public today.

The letter was written to Mr. Platt in 1926 in response to a communication advising Colonel Dreyfus that the Zola bust was to be unveiled and asking for a letter in appreciation of the author.

The translation of Colonel Dreyfus’ letter follows:

“Your idea of casting in bronze the bust of Emile Zola and placing it in a room of your association is admirable.
