The policy of the new administration of the Zionist Organization of America was outlined here today by Judge Louis E. Levinthal, president, and Simon Shetzer, new executive director, to editors and editorial commentators of the Jewish and Anglo-Jewish press at a luncheon given at the Brevoort Hotel.
Judge Levinthal stressed the fact that the ZOA, in addition to becoming the most important section of the world Zionist movement, is also facing the task of educating many Jews in America to the importance of Palestine as a country which must be prepared for the absorption of tens of thousands of European Jews who will seek a home there as soon as the war is over. He announced that the new administration will study the question of whether it would not be advisable to move the headquarters of the ZOA from Washington back to New York. He also announced that the ZOA and the Hadassa will jointly conduct Zionist educational work among the Jewish youth and that the ZOA has assigned $20,000 for this work.
