The state assembly has put up to Gov. Zimmerman the onus of deciding the controversy between State Treasurer Sol Levitan and C. B. Ballard, state superintendent of public buildings.

The assembly passed a resolution condemning a letter sent by Ballard to Levitan as “highly improper and a reflection on the honesty and integrity of the Jewish race.”

The assembly referred the matter to Gov. Zimmerman, asking him to take any action he sees fit.
