Lewis Myers was elected president of the newly formed Hartford Jewish Council at a meeting attended by more than fifty persons.

Joseph Hoffenberg was chosen vice-president; Mrs. William Gross, second vice-president; James E. Ravich, secretary, and Mrs. David Weinerman, financial secretary.

The following committee chairmen were appointed: Mrs. Samuel Glazier, Morris Older, Anna Fisher, Max Myers, Joseph Silver, Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman, Mrs. Gross, Judge Abraham S. Borden, Abraham Goldstein, Alderman Raymond Dragat and Mrs. Feldman.
