Lewis L. Strauss was elected president of the Jewish Agricultural Society at the 30th annual meeting, to succeed Percy S. Straus, who had held that office for eight years. Mr. Strauss is a member of the firm of Kuhn, Loeb & Company, and has been a director of the Jewish Agricultural Society since 1920. He is a close personal friend of President Hoover, having been his private secretary when Hoover was the American Relief Administrator in Europe.
