A gift of $30,000 from Adolph Lewisohn, of New York, to found a research fellowship at the William Holland Wilmer Ophthalmological Institute of the Johns Hopkins Hospital was announced by Mrs. Henry Breckinridge while attending the ceremonies marking the dedication of the institute. Andrew W. Mellon. Secretary of the Treasury, and his brother also gave $30.00 for the same purpose.
Plans are being completed for five-day dedication exercises in connection with the opening of the new $350,000 building of the Jamaica Jewish Center on November 1 to 5.
Magistrate Benjamin Marvin is president of the center.
The Thirty-second Annual Meeting of the National Farm School, Dolyestown. Pa., will be held Sunday morning, October 20th. Dr. Stephen S. Wise will be the principal speaker.
