The Liberty ship Meyer London, named for the late Jewish labor leader from New York, has been sunk on its maiden voyage, it was revealed were today by the War Shipping Administration.
The vessel, which was turned over to the WSA on February 4, was sunk in the Mediterranean as a result of enemy action. All her crew were rescued by a British curvette.
