A Liberty Ship named after Rabbi Isaac Mayer Wise, the father of Reformed Judaism in America, will be launched at Jacksonville, Florida, on December 2, it was announced tonight at a dinner in the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in honor of the national executive board of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations. Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, a son of the late Rabbi Wise, will officiate at the launching ceremonies. It was announced by Rabbi Maurice N. Eisendrath, Director of the Union of American Hebrew Congregations, which Rabbi Wise founded in 1873.
