Liev Vachs, well-known labor leader and revolutionist who lived in the United States from 1901 to 1907, died here at the age of fifty.
Mr. Vachs came to Soviet Russia in 1917. For the past ten years he had lectured at a number of Moscow schools.
SERVICES TODAY FOR ISADORE SAKS
Funeral services will be held today at Salem Fields, N. Y., for Isadore Saks, founder and president of the Saks department stores, who died Wednesday at his summer home in Elberon, N. J. He was eighty-one years old.
Mr. Saks was a native of Virginia but was brought up in Pennsylvania. With his brother, Andrew, he established a department store in 1902.
Mr. and Mrs. Saks had celebrated their fifty-eighth wedding anniversary Monday.
