The prosecution in the trial of three former German police officers charged with complicity in the wartime murder of 2,400 Jews in three Nazi-occupied Ukrainian towns in the Rovno area demanded today life imprisonment for one of the three and lesser terms for the other two.
The maximum term was demanded for Otto Koeler, 55, now an accountant. Ten years at hard labor was asked for Joser Paur, 64, a Criminal Investigation Department inspector, and six years for Wilhelm Wacker, 63. The murders took place in 1942.
