The life of the late Justice Louis Dembitz Brandei has been dramatized by the eminent actor-producer Herman Heuser, formerly of the Berlin State Theater, now residing here. The play will be broadcast by the Palestine Broadcasting Service in October, on the second anniversary of Judge Brandeis’ death.
The play in three acts depicts Brandeis as a “people’s lawyer” in Boston; his appointment to the United States Supreme Court in 1914 and his becoming head of the Zionist Organization, and the final phase of his life up to the establishment of “Ein Hashofet,” the colony named after him.
