Leaders of all Jewish communities in Indiana will confer here Sunday to devise ways and means for raising a record-breaking response throughout the State for the United Jewish Appeal. The pace set by LaFayette, which in a forty-eight hour drive raised a sum larger than ever before in its history, is stimulating a spirit of emulation which is expected to inspire many other communities of the “Hooste” State.
Rabbi Ferdinand M. Isserman, of St Louis, whose eye-witness narration of what he saw in Germany last year was one of the most moving stories of Jewish martyrdom heard in this country, will be principal speaker. Rabbi Joshua Liebman and Richard Gutstadt of the Anti-Defamation League of the B’nai B’rith are also scheduled to speak.
The conference will be presided over by Isadore Feibelman, one of the outstanding leaders of the Jewish community of Indianapolis.
