An important conference of rabbis and presidents of conservative synagogues in a score of cities of New England will be held at Temple Mishkan Tefial, Roxbury, tomorrow according to an announcement made by Rabbi Jacob Freedman of Temple Beth El, Chelsea, chairman of the committee on arrangements, and Moses Mishel, president of the Eastern New England Branch of the United Synagogue. The Branch includes synagogues in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Maine.
The delegates will meet at the Temple at 6:00 o’clock. There will be one session.
Many important movements and events taking place at present affecting the synagogue life of Jewish people will be discussed. Present conditions are of such serious concern to the religious life of Israel, particularly as they affect religious institutions, that it is imperative for Jewish leaders in this country to come together to consider the situation as a whole and to determine upon a program of unified action, says the announcement.
