The lifting of the present ban on Jewish immigrants to Palestine so that Jews succeeding in escaping from German-occupied territory can find a haven there, was urged today by Sigrid Undset. Norwegian novelist and Nobel Prize winner, at a press conference arranged by the Emergency Committee to save the Jewish People of Europe. The United Nations, she said, must act immediately to facilitate the escape and rescue of all Jews in occupied Europe who can still be saved.
