The lifting of the Parliamentary immunity of General Moshe Dayan, Israel Minister of Agriculture, so that he could stand trial in a traffic accident, was asked today by Pinhas Rosen, Israel’s Minister of Justice, in his capacity as acting Attorney General.
The request was made to Kadish Luz, speaker of the Knesset. Israel’s Parliament. Gen. Dayan, former Chief of Staff, was involved in the accident, in which several people were injured and for which he was blamed, at the end of 1958. The accident occurred after Gen. Dayan resigned from the Army but before he became a member of Knesset.
