Likud Party members went to court against a party vote on allowing Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to bring the Labor Party into the Israeli government. Two Likud Central Committee members filed a petition in Tel Aviv District Court on Wednesday arguing that Sharon’s plan to form a broad coalition, and thus push through his Gaza withdrawal plan, contravenes party statutes against ceding territory to the Palestinians.
