Representative Sol Bloom of New York was today awarded the degree of doctor of literature by the Lincoln Memorial University of Tennessee.
The announcement was made by Chancellor John Wesley Hill who, on behalf of the board of trustees of the university, pointed out that the award was made to Representative Bloom in recognition of his contributions to American history and literature in connection with his work as director of the George Washington bicentennial celebration two years ago.
