While money contributions merely indicate the interest and promise of Jews who yearn for a homeland, the real hope of Zionism in the future lies in the actual settlement of young Jews from America in Palestine, declared Louis Lipsky, president of the Zionist Organization of America, speaking before 350 Zionists at a meeting of Zionist Region No. 5, in the Y. M. H. A. here.

“If Poland sends young settlers to Palestine, we in America will have to show that we have young men and women who can take their places along with the others,” said Mr. Lipsky. He also declared that the market of the dollar has fallen in the Zionist movement and that the active participation of American Jews in colonization work in Palestine was a requirement to show that they have faith in the movement and the leaders. Region No. 5 comprises western Pennsylvania, eastern Ohio and West Virginia.
