A sensation was created here today by a newspaper report that a Lithuanian Jew, J. Gottlieb of the nearby town of Wilkowich, has inherited approximately $300,000,000 from a relative in Melbourne, Australia. The reported bequest is eighteen times the total currency in circulation in Lithuania.
According to the newspaper report, Minister for Foreign Affairs, Dr. Stasys Lozoraitis, has asked Gottlieb to supply the necessary documents to confirm his right to the inheritance.
