The Court of Assizes today dismissed a libel action brought by Charles Frederick Ashton against the Liverpool Daily Post which had denounced him as an anti-Jewish agitator.
The court accepted the contention offered by counsel for the defendant that the phrase “foul propaganda,” used by the paper in describing Mr. Ashton’s utterances, was justified.
