Esperanto, the international language recently ordered prohibited in Germany because it was the invention of a Polish-Jewish oculist, Dr. Zamenhoff, is now on the curriculum of Liverpool University. The university is the first in England and the second in all the world to give the language formal recognition.

Beginning with the Fall term, students for the B. A. degree may study Esperanto as one of the four subjects they are obliged to take in their first year, but the language will not count as one of the three examination subjects either for degrees or final term examinations.
